Brad took a couple days off from work to join me on winter break.
Thursday, we used Christmas gift cards for a lunch-and-movie date: Catching Fire and Native Foods Cafe.
Really liked the movie - better than the first. But it ends with a major cliffhanger, just like the book. I hope the third one comes out soon!
Of course, the food was also very good. Oh, and we bumped into friends Sean and Karen - random funness :)
Brad saw on Facebook that Portland Running Company's Beaverton store was hosting a New Year's fun run - with s'mores at the end!!
What the heck - sounds like a fun evening. Because Brad ran in the morning and it was supposed to be a rest day for me, we chose the shorter run distance - just 3 miles. Then we refueled with yummy s'mores made with peanut butter cups.
We stuck around for the raffle, listening to them call number after number that weren't ours. Typical.
THEN... they called the ticket for the grand prize. And Brad won!!!
The event was sponsored by Brooks, and Brad won a Brooks top and bottom of his choice ... any shirt or jacket and any shorts or pants that PRC carries. Woohoo!!
After the run, we hit my folks' place for a little holiday party with more yummy food.
A great day all around :)
