Pitboss

Brad's always in search of good BBQ, and with his birthday this week, he decided to try a new place for some serious meat.

We met Brad's folks at Podnah's Pit on Northeast Killingsworth. Because he wanted to try all the choices, Brad settled on The Pitboss - a sampler plate. (Note: Two grown men at the next table ordered the same thing and split it!!)
The Pitboss included ribs, pulled pork, brisket, sausage, two sides and cornbread. He chose potato salad and BBQ beans.

Ribs are Brad's favorite, but he's often disappointed. Not this time. He said they were excellent - he wants to go back!

Vegetarian options were a bit limited. I ordered the Texas Cobb, asking for the meat (bacon and brisket) on the side. Good thing I didn't just leave it off - it was several large pieces of brisket! Brad thoroughly enjoyed those leftovers.
Even without the meat, my salad was good. Avocado, pico de gallo, blue cheese, egg, green onions.

I'm sure we'll go again - maybe even before next year's birthday :)
