Random Kansas City

My parents invited us to join them again this summer on their quest to see baseball games at all the MLB stadiums. (Last year's adventure) They offered to cover transportation expenses with their air miles, so Eryn and I jumped on board. (Brad's not a baseball guy and usually skips these trips)

First up: Kansas City.
Gotta do it:
There was no way I was running outside. Even the locals were complaining about the temperature and humidity!
Plus a little Shredding in the hotel room:
The line was out the door for this famous BBQ:
Eryn and I shared the smoked salmon salad:
Very good food ...
... even though it was in a gas station!
We didn't have a plan and just explored different random things. National World War I Museum:
9,000 poppies - one for each 1,000 deaths:
Hallmark Visitors Center - free tour!
Free Curious George exhibit:
Dad forget his sunglasses. Our second trip to the Walmart by our hotel:
Harry S. Truman Historic Site:
It says above the door: GO YE AND TEACH:
Huh??
Harry worked here:
Time to get cultured at 18th and Vine:
Royals vs. Detroit:
Designated driver = free pop!
:)
