Solstice Stupidity planning party

Any excuse to get together and eat (and make a plan!!).

On June 20, a whole bunch of us will be doing something crazy... hiking the entire Wildwood Trail in Portland's Forest Park. 30.25 miles. In one day. Solstice Stupidity! Last week we gathered to make some plans... and eat pork verde burritos.

I made this before, and the crowds went wild. They asked for it again, so I had no choice. I would definitely suggest this slowcooker recipe
. Easy and very yummy.
We had a variety of ice creams and sorbets, and Joyce caught the baking bug and brought this:
And this:
Yum. After we sufficiently stuffed ourselves, it was time to get down to business.

We spread out our dueling maps and plotted our route and rest stops. Sarah, our resident artist, sketched ideas for our team shirts. We set a time line and planned meals and snacks (!) and our pre-hike slumber party.

Want to join us for all or part of the Solstice Stupidity fun????
-Liz :)
